I wrote this song in the fall of 2003. At the time, I was waiting to take delivery of a hand made custom acoustic guitar built by my old friend and cohort, Bruce Kunkel. Bruce and I played together in some of the earliest incarnations of the continuously evolving band we once called "The Sunny Day Dung Trudgers." Bruce went on to become a master luthier and to design and build some of the most beautiful guitars you will ever see.

Anyway, thinking about Bruce and the new guitar got me thinking about how it was in those old days when we used to just get together and make music, and the magic of all of that.
